05:28 pm: Huzzah!
3 have cancelled my account.
All it took was: three and a half months; 18 letters; 2 registered mailings of an unwanted handset; and a whole lot of stubbornness.
(One of the letters was to the Hong Kong billionaire who owns the telecoms 3 and T-Mobile: one was to the CEO of T-Mobile UK, one was to the CEO of T-Mobile Europe, who's in Germany: several were to the CEO and head of marketing and head of sales and people like that listed on the 3 website: two were to consumer-rights people in the UK.... and so on.)
Gosh. I feel sort of peacefully smug.
I won. Huzzah.
Current Mood:
peacefully smug

Well, given the relative heights of ass and platypus, actually, this is not true.
Platypi cannot kick ass unless the ass in question is sitting down.
We can, however, leap and nibble quite severely with beak. And eventually, even a phone corporation will have to succumb to severe beak nibbles.

Yeah! It's good! You can buy yourself some really nice gear with those. :-)
I do realize that referential humor doesn't work well with references that aren't shared. And if you have to explain it, it's probably not funny. So I broke two of my general rules, but still. Shattered Halls on Heroic mode is considered to be one of the most complicated and difficult dungeons in the game. The number of badges you get for completing a heroic instance is based on the difficulty level. As metaphors go, it seemed apt, even if game-speak bores non-gamers to tears. :-D
In other words - grats! You fought the good fight and won. Yay for defeating corporate oppression!

Well, I've learned something new. ;-) I gathered it was complimentary, but it is nice to know what the compliment means. :-D
