Apparently England did better than Scotland because England had the local elections happening the same day, but it looks like Scotland did appallingly - down to 25%.

Wow, I think that's worse than we usually do over here - I think in 2004 it was around 50%. Do you guys have the thing where you can vote early/by mail?

Yeah, we do. The "25%" figure was after the polls closed Thursday. But Scotland's really kinda meh about European elections.

I totally intended to vote but I was going to go after tea and then I didn't have any tea and so I totally forgot. I could probably have ticked the 'couldn't be bothered' option, but I could have been bothered if I wasn't rubbish and now we have a bnp county councillor and I worry it is ALL MY FAULT and maybe we are going to have a bnp europe person as well. It's all a bit terrible.
